Stress is unavoidable in our daily lives. It constantly affects us psychologically and physically, and even in our sleep. You might not be aware but if you wake up in the morning with a headache, teeth, and jaw pain. You might also notice that your teeth are chipped or worn down from grinding. These are strong signals of Bruxism.
Night guards AKA mouth guards or occlusal splints are usually made of durable soft plastic that serves as a cushion between your upper and lower jaw. This reduces the pressure on the muscles, jaw, and teeth.
Sleep apnea and snoring can also be treated with Night guards. It will stop the lower jaw from dropping while sleeping. So, your airways stay open, and you and your partner will have continuous airflow and a good night’s sleep.
Retainers
After a long Orthodontic treatment, it is time to enjoy your new beautiful straight smile. Protecting them as they can be easy with retainers.
Our body has a memory, and it usually tries to keep everything as they were. After the Orthodontic treatment, it tends to try to revert the changes that were made to go back to what it considers it should be.
Retainers are made of removable hard plastic clear material that keeps the new alignment in place and prevents them from shifting.
